Ilyse's Project Setup

Here is the link to my classroom blog. Currently it's pretty empty, but check back next week and we should have a few posts about the first days of school (we start on the 3rd). To upload pictures to this blog, I plan to use Picasa, just as Keith showed us during STI.

As for my tutorial math videos, I'm thinking of creating a Google Site to store them. I'm not sure if this is the best option, but I want to be able to organize the videos so they are easy enough to find and access.

  1. May want to consider your own you tube channel for your videos (a teacher channel)

This is what i am looking for for the setup post. Next post you will show me what a student is doing to use your transparency, or interact with your reverse teaching. Most likely you will have more stuff put in and they will start using. I expect you to find stuff that does or doesn't work... or completely new. Would be nice to get some student feedback. It is going to be about how you are implementing your ideas. Please make sure you have commented on each chapter has the others have posted them on the books (you can retroactively post if you missed one) and PLEASE comment on your classmates Project Proposal Post (we have down 2 so far Proposal and Setup) If I can help just ask

  3. I thought about a YouTube channel, but my school blocks YouTube. Any tricks to beat that system? Or maybe just using SchoolTube or TeacherTube?

  4. You can try that. What I do is upload and embed the videos in my blogs....

  5. Ilyse-- I like that you have different tabs within your blog that bring you to different places. It's well organized and easy to navigate, which I think your students and parents will find very appealing and hopefully encourage them to use the blog more frequently. On your "What's Happening in Room 5" page who will be writing the posts there you or the kids? Are you planning on having them upload videos or pictures? Hopefully you can work out the filter issues! Have you thought about "Dropbox"?
